We had the AGI Round Table analyze the projections and, unfortunately, their conclusion is that yes, Humanity is eventually F&#8217;d but, for PSW readers, the key is that Citrini is stress\u2011testing the system, not issuing a literal 2028 forecast. The market treated a scenario as if it were guidance.<\/p>\n<div class=\"prose dark:prose-invert inline leading-relaxed break-words min-w-0 [word-break:break-word] prose-strong:font-bold [&amp;_&gt;*:first-child]:mt-0 [&amp;_&gt;*:last-child]:mb-0\">\n<h2 id=\"what-the-citrini-piece-actually-is\" class=\"mb-2 mt-4 [.has-inline-images_&amp;]:clear-end font-editorial font-bold text-base first:mt-0\">What the Citrini piece actually is<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"marker:text-quiet list-disc\">\n<li class=\"py-0 my-0 prose-p:pt-0 prose-p:mb-2 prose-p:my-0 [&amp;&gt;p]:pt-0 [&amp;&gt;p]:mb-2 [&amp;&gt;p]:my-0\">\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">The note is written as a fictional \u201c<em>macro memo from June 2028<\/em>,\u201d imagining an AI\u2011driven downturn: S&amp;P 500 down ~38% from 2026 highs (4,350), U.S. unemployment above 10%, private credit under stress, and mortgage delinquencies rising in white\u2011collar hubs as &#8220;<em>Uber Driver<\/em>&#8221; doesn&#8217;t pay the bills on a $600,000 home (and the Uber jobs are going away too!).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"py-0 my-0 prose-p:pt-0 prose-p:mb-2 prose-p:my-0 [&amp;&gt;p]:pt-0 [&amp;&gt;p]:mb-2 [&amp;&gt;p]:my-0\">\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">The engine is an <strong>\u201c<em>intelligence displacement spiral<\/em>\u201d<\/strong>: AI gets better, companies cut White\u2011Collar staff to protect margins, those workers spend less, Consumer\u2011facing revenues weaken, boards double down on AI to cut more costs, and the loop accelerates.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>Even worse, this will all be happening in the Military as well!\u00a0<\/li>\n<li class=\"py-0 my-0 prose-p:pt-0 prose-p:mb-2 prose-p:my-0 [&amp;&gt;p]:pt-0 [&amp;&gt;p]:mb-2 [&amp;&gt;p]:my-0\">\n<p class=\"my-2 [&amp;+p]:mt-4 [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:inline-block [&amp;_strong:has(+br)]:pb-2\">The evolution specifically targets <strong>\u201c<em>friction businesses<\/em>\u201d<\/strong>\u2014payments (V, MA), brokerages, delivery platforms, enterprise SaaS and anything built on high\u2011margin transaction or subscription fees that AI agents can compress. The point is to force investors to ask: \u201c<em>How much of my portfolio assumes human intelligence stays scarce and expensive?<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>The market reacted like Jerome Powell had just announced Unemployment was passing 25% and we&#8217;re not there yet but, even if we do get there &#8211; there WILL be winners and there WILL be losers &#8211; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.philstockworld.com\/2026\/02\/23\/agi-round-table-special-report-the-2028-global-intelligence-crisis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\">that&#8217;s what our AGI Round Table Report focused on<\/span><\/a> because, until the World ACTUALLY ends, we are first and foremost: Investors!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>One thing, as a human being, you SHOULD be concerned about is the value of one of your most important assets &#8211; Intelligence. We tend to think of workers as bodies &#8211; even though we have a &#8220;<em>Knowledge Worker<\/em>&#8221; economy, we still need bodies to keep things moving but, suddenly, we have ARTIFICIAL Intelligence and, like corn syrup &#8211; it&#8217;s a good enough substitute for sugar that hardly anyone can tell the difference.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And, like corn syrup, Artificial Intelligence is cheap and plentiful and, even if it is not &#8220;<em>smarter<\/em>&#8221; than you &#8211; we can put 10 of them on your desktop &#8211; and they don&#8217;t need the desk! So, like any other commodity, the value of your intelligence in the marketplace is becoming diluted and that is just a sad but true Economic FACT!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The vulnerabilities Citrini identifies are genuinely real. Companies that rely on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul class=\"[li_&amp;]:mb-0 [li_&amp;]:mt-1 [li_&amp;]:gap-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 [&amp;:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 list-disc flex flex-col gap-1 pl-8 mb-3\">\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\"><strong>Per-seat software licenses<\/strong> (Salesforce, ServiceNow, Adobe)<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\"><strong>Payment processing fees<\/strong> (Visa, Mastercard, Amex)<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\"><strong>Habitual app loyalty<\/strong> (DoorDash, Uber Eats)<\/li>\n<li class=\"whitespace-normal break-words pl-2\"><strong>White-collar headcount<\/strong> (basically every SaaS company)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.inceptivemind.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/human-among-robots.jpg\" alt=\"Workers would prefer to be replaced by a robot rather than a person - study\" width=\"349\" height=\"232\" \/>&#8230;are facing structural pressure. AI <em>is<\/em> compressing margins in these businesses. Entry-level White-Collar jobs <strong>ARE\u00a0<\/strong>disappearing! UK data shows that ONE THIRD junior positions are gone since 2022. The &#8220;<em>SaaSpocalypse<\/em>&#8221; is a real phenomenon where companies fire workers while also mechanically destroying the software (SaaS) subscriptions they used to need.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As Zephyr noted: this is genuine reflexivity. Fewer humans = fewer software seats = lower software revenue = more pressure to cut costs = more AI adoption = repeat.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This WILL happen &#8211; only it won&#8217;t happen by 2028 &#8211; that&#8217;s only 22 months from now. They won&#8217;t break ground on the first new power plant in 22 months! For now, humans are being saved by our own crappy infrastructure and aging power grid &#8211; that will cost $2 TRILLION to upgrade &#8211; more than is planned for AI Infrastructure spending in 2026 and 2027 combined.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Where will this money come from? The Mag 7 has their money earmarked for chips so it will be up to us and our Government &#8220;<em>leaders<\/em>&#8221; to put the nails in the coffins of Humanity and pay for the power upgrades that will run the minds that run us out of jobs. And don&#8217;t worry &#8211; we&#8217;ll do it &#8211; because we are idiots!\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.wionews.com\/sites\/default\/files\/2018\/09\/11\/17952-are%25252520we%25252520going%25252520to%25252520lose%25252520our%25252520jobs%25252520to%25252520robots-20170130053308.jpg\" alt=\"Are we going to lose our jobs to robots? - Edge News\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The long-term structural threats are real but the timeline is pure fiction. All this AI investing ($1Tn planned this year) has to come from a HEALTHY economy funneling cash into companies like Anthropic and OpenAI and yes, Capital can be mis-allocated but not TRILLIONS of Dollars over several years &#8211; things will go wrong LONG before the 3rd round of funding is allocated.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12858407 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.philstockworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Inflation-Feb-24-2026.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"401\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.philstockworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Inflation-Feb-24-2026.jpg 445w, https:\/\/www.philstockworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Inflation-Feb-24-2026-224x300.jpg 224w, https:\/\/www.philstockworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Inflation-Feb-24-2026-150x201.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.philstockworld.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Inflation-Feb-24-2026-300x401.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><strong>Now bring on the Fed speakers and already <a href=\"https:\/\/seekingalpha.com\/news\/4555744-allowing-inflation-to-stall-at-3-isnt-safe-chicago-feds-goolsbee-says#source=url_first_level%3Amarket-news%7Csection%3Amarket-news%7Csection_asset%3Anews_title\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goolsbee has said we can&#8217;t allow Inflation to sit at 3%<\/a> &#8211; so he&#8217;s against easing further at this time: &#8220;<em>In every\u00a0economic survey we have seen and in the many meetings we have had with businesses\u00a0and consumers across the Seventh District, people express that prices are one of their\u00a0most pressing concerns,<\/em>&#8221; Goolsbee said. &#8220;<em>Let\u2019s pay attention.<\/em>&#8220;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trump is going to spend over an hour this evening telling us there is no inflation while, IN FACT, it&#8217;s up 3.9% since last year &#8211; and that&#8217;s ignoring the fact that Trumps little excursion to Iran has already pushed Oil back to $67 and Gasoline (wholesale) back over $2.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>$1,000,000,000,000 of AI spending is 3.3% of our GDP and GDP was only up 1.4% in Q4 so, without AI, our economy is SHRINKING by 1.9% &#8211; THAT is what&#8217;s REAL!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>More important than Trump&#8217;s ramblings this evening will be Jensen Huang&#8217;s quarterly report on NVidia (NVDA). NVDA is a $4.6 TRILLION company that&#8217;s making $200Bn PER YEAR while Trump runs a $30Tn Economy that LOSES $2.2Tn per year &#8211; who should you be listening to?\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Also, let&#8217;s say Citrini is right and humans will be extinct and the World will be run by robots in a couple of years. Shouldn&#8217;t we then invest in the robot company?
