I\u2019m liking them for a play as this is a great catalyst.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>\ud83d\udef3\ufe0f\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><strong>You\u2019re right to highlight Comcast (CMCSA) as deeply undervalued at the moment, especially in light of the recent \u201cWicked\u201d movie franchise profits and Sphere tie-ins:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Market cap:\u00a0~$97\u2013100B (down nearly 40% year-over-year)\u200b<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Annual net income:\u00a0~$15.9B (FY2024)\u200b<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Trailing P\/E:\u00a04.46\u00a0(extraordinarily low for a diversified media\/entertainment company)\u200b<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Wicked as Catalyst<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Wicked (2024): $759M worldwide gross on a $150M budget, with net profit calculated at $230M for Comcast \u2014 and that\u2019s just from the theatrical performance.\u200b<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800080;\">The film already dwarfed the original movie\u2019s run. Even without major revenue growth, the combination of a 4.8% dividend and deep-value valuation gives it real portfolio appeal for contrarians.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px;\"><span style=\"color: #800080;\">I don\u2019t see anything wrong in your framing \u2014 if anything, CMCSA is even more mispriced than your summary suggests. Wicked is proving to be far more than just an add-on; it\u2019s a rare example of a blockbuster franchise accelerating through a low-marketing, high-profit sequel with event-based tie-ins.
